...Because maybe they want it to be perfect for release?

Come on, now, just because they don't release something in two months doesn't mean it's not coming or it's not true. I'd like to see anybody create emulators, importers, and more while simultaneously working on several other projects.

It's already out within the trusted circle. Tis a very powerful tool that should not be shared with lazy ass pirates that just wines and begs and never do any hard work or research. i vote this new version of rawksd NEVER gets released to the masses. Maybe a very, very limited version that allows ripping off legally owned discs and creating legal customs, but not this version. Let it stay within the circle so these f'd up pirates can cry their eyeballs out.

Well personally I'm excited and don't care how long the wait is since I know a lot of work is going into it. All the previous releases have been great (I'm still amazed at how quickly support for GH5 was added) and we've seen some great video evidence of features in the upcoming release so I have complete faith in the RawkSD team. Or is it going to be renamed RawkUSB after this?

Keep up the great work guys!

Many people speak about too many things:
- RawkUSB: but it don't appear for any side.
- RawkSD v3.0 thread: the same thing, we extract a jpg but the software don't even appear.

You speak of:
- Use the usb for the DLC.
- Enable SDHC in the RB2.
- Compatibility with all the games.
- Compatibility NTSC - PAL
But already it is time to see results. Why does nobody extract an URL for the software?

Be honest, and give a release date.
When?
January, February, Christmas ... summer?

They give themselves many opinions, much is spoken what will be or be ... but I see few results

And it is true, is my opinion ... but for two months I don't see results.

I am sorry about my English.
Hey, we are not buying a service, they are giving us a spectacular program for free!, we cannot complain at all!

Sorry to clutter this thread but it seems that this is "the" support thread for RawkSD.

I have a PAL 3.2 Wii and I have Rockband 2 (NTSC version) running through the disc channel.

I am aware that there is a NTSC and a PAL version of RawkSD - but what version do I need to use.

Do I use the standard RawkSD if I am using a hack via Preloader to enable region free gaming to play a NTSC version of RB2 through my disc channel on my PAL Wii?

Or do I use the PAL version of RawkSD to play a PAL version of RB2 through my disc channel?

Also, if I am importing songs from GHWT and GHSH does the region of those imports have any effect on RawkSD? For example can I import songs from a PAL GHWT to use with the NTSC version of RawkSD to use with a NTSC copy of RB2?

You have the same setup as me mate!

. Since you have the NTSC version of RB2, You'll need to use the NTSC version of Rawk SD. Once you setup Rawk SD, all you need to do is start up Rock Band 2 with the latest Gecko OS from the Homebrew Channel.

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/GeckoOS (Download it from here)

Using any other version of Gecko's will not make the customs work

No, it's not. There are 3 people working on it: Aaron/AerialX, zapu and myself. Anything said by other people should be considered speculation.
They do a great work, free, and excellent and possibly be more than three, with the betatester, because only three testers is small group.
I speak little, but I read very much, my language is not an English, and turns out to be to me complicated. Because of it I write little.
Neither I believe that it should create a circle deprived of persons who enjoy the new Rawk. GBAtemp's philosophy is to share the knowledge and to leave others out it's not good.
I am sorry if my previous post was misinterpreted.
A few persons we prefer not knowing anything and that give us the surprise.
Other persons prefer seeing jpgs, videoes and later knowing the software

Thanks

There isn't a "trusted circle", its only aerialX, Tuedj and zapu that are testing/adding features to the software.

I've been using RawkSD for the past 4 months now and I still believe that it is one of the best things ever made for the Wii (the DLC wads are fun-freakin-tastic as well).

I really don't care how long they would release 'RawkUSB' or 'Modern Rawkfare' or whatever they want to call it, as long as they would still freely share it when it is done.
If these people want to take their time in making or perfecting it that is their prerogative.
All we have to do is sit and wait..... patiently.

Soon (in the near OR not so near future) the greatest thing ever made for the Wii will come out! Yeah! \ m /

lol there just mad cause these guys can do better DLC/SDHC support. Keep up the good work guys!

EDIT: I thought Viacom was a media company, mostly responsible for TV and movies, but apparently they hold HMX as well. Funny that they don't care about the hundreds of FC vids containing full songs but they do care about this.

Last I remember, they do care.

Ok, so does anyone know where I could possibly get CIOS37BUGFIX.wad? I initially found out that this was needed to fix the whole RB2 custom DLC and stuff and well I had it on my pc but....now I cant find it. And I have been searching for hours on end looking through google and just can't find a link for a download. Please I'm seriously gonna cry if I cant have my custom songs on my Wii.

Edit: thanks CDZ....got the wad and now my customs work again
