I'm getting an error on the Rawksd APP Installer on the wii. It says 'An error has ocurred when installing the customs DLC"I'm having the same problem, and also when I try using the patcher, the screen reads "Installer failed to do shit". I'm using cIOScorp 3.3, so I'll try reverting to a default IOS37 wad and patching it with the patcher.
EDIT: default didn't work...

EDIT2: cIOScorp 2's ciosbugfix37.wad works perfectly!
If you don't have a patched IOS37 yet, try using the patcher.
Solution: Use the patcher included, or find a copy of cIOScorp 2's ciosbugfix37.wad and install it using WAD manager.

The software of the PC says I havent prepared my Rock Band APP for Instaling customs, but I mean, how to prepare (I am following exactally the guide, which means I first open it on the wii, but it DOESNT PREPARE ANYTHING) Anyway of getting it prepared, cause I think this is the problem? It just doesnt, help pls
When you click install, it says to load your songs, then click OK. This screen shows after it prepares (the error comes after). And after you click OK, you get an error (is this correct?).

Is it possible to run the RawkSD patcher offline?
I currently don't have a wireless access point, and I am using a mobile broadband card for my desktop. Is there any way to patch offline, as the patcher shuts down after failing to initialize network.

You can try cIOSbugfix37.wad or WiiPower's Trucha Bug Restorer set to IOS37. cIOSbugfix37.wad is just a straight wad install (but you can't find it here, hint: it's included in cIOScorp V2), Trucha Bug Restorer requires the IOS37 wad for offline installation (link above).

Anyone with the latest cIOScorp, just use cIOScorp v2's cIOSbugfix37.wad.

Ah, so that's all the patcher fixes?
Thank you very much YayMii.

Edit: I should've just read your signature.

Yes, the error comes after, but the preparation doesnt happen, I mean... It instantly goes to the screen to choose OK after I click in install, do you understand?
EDIT: SOLVED!! I just downloaded the ciosbugfix37.wad, installed and now it works great! Thanks!

About the prefix/suffix thing...
I manually added suffixes to my RB1 songs. Can I still play wi-fi with RawkSD users with the renamed songs?

As long as you don't rename the song's ID (keep it rb1r1) you're fine. You can name the songs whatever you feel like, change the artist, etc.

So I'm trying to import a FoFiX song. I will first need to import all the tracks into audiacity, which I actually managed to do, but I can't save it with 4 channels/tracks/whatever you wanna call em.
So how do I do that?

Go back in this thread to post #414 by Kid Sampson located here: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=165...t&p=2124337

Do you think there's a pretty good chance that we'll be able to import Beatles: RB (of course the extra vocals tracks would have to be taken out) and Lego RB songs with RawkSD in the future?

I noticed a couple songs were acting a bit strange on vocals. Specifically the speaking parts in Blitzkreig Bop doesn't seem to register anything coming from the mic (my mic works just fine in the other songs) and Roxanne's speaking parts have an awkward pitch that I'm sure should've been a speaking part as well (it's like a single pitch for one syllable was put in between speaking parts). I haven't looked into modifying the files themselves (I also don't know how to fix them), but just a heads up in case you're going to rework the importer again.

Im using cIOScorp 3.3 and when I try to run the rawksd patcher it says "......failed to do shit" so, like what it suggested on here I then installed the ciosbugfix37.wad and tried the patcher again. Same message.

Now what??

Has anyone had this problem?
Every time I run the RawkSD installer on my Wii, remove the SD card, insert it into my PC and run Install Customs, RawkSD tells me "You have not used the RawkSD Wii Installer to prepare the SD card..."
when clearly I just have.
The strange thing is the first time I tried this it worked fine but when when I tried to add more songs this problem started. I have since gone back to scratch - blank SD card, Rawk SD reinstalled on PC etc but the problem persists.
Please would some kind soul help me from tearing my hair out. Thanks.

Sorry about being inactive this past while, we've been working on........

RawkSD v2.00; now out! Spread the word of our release, and stop by IRC, it's lonely

No more worries about customs compatibility when it comes to drums or vocals (though still don't forget to Add Empty Drum Track; you should probably re-import all your customs with the Customs -> Replace Files menu). Oh, and GH5/GHWT/GHM/GHSH importing btw.

Check out the changelog here. Same download link.

Your savefile might be deleted/empty? You have to play the game once and let it save before using RawkSD with it. RB2 has a bug that can cause your save to be completely erased if the NAND is full (happens rarely when playing DLC with very little free NAND space).

cIOScorp 3.3 isn't compatible with RawkSD for various reasons. Older versions of cIOScorp *replace* the functionality of the patcher; don't use it.

I'm not sure when this happened but whenever I prepare the SD card with the RawkSD app it says that there is an error that occurred after I attempt to finish the installation. Furthermore, my SD card becomes unusable in Rock Band 2 after using the application. I've tried using different SD cards to see if it was my SD card's problem, but in the end the results are the same. If you can help me shed some light on this, I would be grateful

Specs:
System Menu 4.0
cIOSCORP v3.3
BootMii
cIOS38 rev14

Since your back Aerial, I was hoping you would help me answer this question since everyone ignored it ><

Well, for one thing...QUOTE(AerialX @ Sep 2 2009, 12:52 AM)

I'm not sure what you mean by "my SD card becomes unusable in Rock Band 2 after using the application" but all I can suggest right now is trying it out with the new version. If you have to start fresh, try wiping the SD card and deleting your Pay and Play data (which you can get back by downloading a free song) and the RawkSD DLC in the Wii System Menu Save Manager.

EDIT: Uh, nevermind then.

=O AWESOME!

Definitely going to try GH importing first thing tomorrow.

Kind of curious how you handled stuff like sustained notes, bass open notes, and drum freestyle sections though. Guess I'll find out.

You guys are awesome!

Is there any way to boot Rock Band 2 DLC from USB?
I don't have any DVD's + I'm on PAL (where Rock Band 2 still isn't released

) and I want to use custom songs!
