a Japanese Brawl in North America

for awhile the internet does not work unless you use friend codes
...
now it WORKS!!!

well on average 1 out of 3 tries should get you online...

it can be laggy in rare cases, but it should run smooth.

Go test yours!

Yeah it worked for me yesterday too. Spectator mode works too! (although whenever I pick a person, that person happens to be the one that is afk...)

Awesome, been trying to get it connected for a while. Can't wait to try it out (have to wait for my girlfriend to stop watching American Idol

).

I don't understand what's your problem? In my Japanese original version it has always worked. And I live in Europe.

Friend Code matches have worked since day 1, but Random Battle and Spectator Mode has only recently been allowed.

Ugh, random doesn't even allow 1vs1? :\ It replaces missing characters with CPUs..

Random does allow 1vs1, but there's the option of adding computer characters, it seems.

Most of my matches had computer characters, but there were a few without.

That's good to know, I guess I'll wait till I buy the NTSC version and test it out the random cpu thing. Out of the 6 matches I played on random, only 2 went all the way through, the other 4 times I got disconnected. :\

Also, spectator mode has worked for me since day 1...I made like 200 points on just betting on Ike. >_>

Anyone know if two people at the same console can use Easy Brawl (Brawl with anyone/random)?

It works about 50% of the time on PAL if you're talking about random brawl in general.

I always get the 86420 error, I've tried alot of times
It gives me the error after 1-4 minutes or something like that, I'll keep trying

You know, I actually think the random Wi-Fi and possibly even Spectator is based on the Ping to the other players, which would explain the lack of persons online in regions where it hasn't been released yet.

woot! i can now get my but handed to me globally anytime i need!
