ok im really out of options now, i have installed ysmenu, i have installed R4iEnglishV2.0.14B and 3DS V4.3.0-10 Upgrade Firmware and it still says that an error has occurred and to turn off the console, i have tried for like 10 hours now so im starting to think it has something to do with the cart itself, my DSi XL is v.1.4.5u but i was told that the firmware along with YSMenu couold bypass that or something? im ready to give up honestly.

No, rather it has something to do with the console software. It's already been said several times that, unfortunately, the DSi/DSi XL's software v.1.4.5u/e blocks some, older, flashcarts, and YSMenu can't do anything about it.
With the latest flashcarts, however, I can't tell...

When you bought this console, was it already that version or did you update it yourself? If it's the former you were out of luck, if it's the latter, you did a wrong and, all in all, useless thing...

yeah i updated it so i could connect to the internet, didnt realise it would make my r4 card useless, thanks for taking time out of your day to respond anyways

You could put a cfw on it and not bother with the card.
