Hacking R4i Gold problem

Just got my first flash cart today, the R4i Gold and tried putting it into my New 3DS XL but it keeps ejecting. Anyone know how to fix?

what do you mean by "ejecting" do you mean the actual cardridge not entering the slot or what exactly?

I fixed it, had to press firmly on the left side of the cartridge to fix. Just putting the cartridge in regularly wouldn't click into place this ejecting out of the slot
