Alright, one more question. Which of the 2 flashcarts would win in the long run? I only plan to buy 1 flashcart right now. And won't be buying another one for a LONG time. So in terms of breaking that it will have problems running games, saving games, playing vids, listening to music, that these functions would break. Or some other wonky problem. Which cart would win? Also, which cart is easiest to use?

I've read that the SuperCard DS(ONE) doesn't save your games and has a battery that will die. Is this true? I don't think that the R4 has these types of problems do they?

People have been having save issues recently, yes. However, I believe we've discovered how to fix it. Basically, when you save, it keeps the save info in that capacitor, which shouldn't die down quickly. It then write the data to the *.sav file the next time you boot up. For some people, the capacitor loses its data within a few minutes, which shouldn't be happening. The solution appears to be to save your game, power down, power back up within a minute, and then power back down again. It hasn't been thoroughly tested yet however.

The issue appears to only affect some users, and keep in mind that the SCDS has a 1-year warranty so you should contact your store for a replacement if you can't stand it (or contact romman if a store refuses to honor the warranty).

Who exactly is romman and how can i contact him?

One other thing. When ordering my flashcart, should I use regular airmail or some express postal? Which one is more reliable?

Express is always more reliable but regular airmail is hell of a lot cheaper

I recently bought the Supercard DS One. Was a headache to choose between R4 and DS One. But after some advice from the shopkeeper, I took DS One mainly because of the news that R4 is being wiped by Nintendo.

According to him, if R4 really closes down, there will no longer be anymore support/firmware upgrades available. On the other hand, Supercard has been in the industry for the longest of times since GBA.

Not sure how true is this.

I can't think of a way they can close a company down, they don't have a proper legal claim for that. They could although buy the company and stop any further development but thats not likely to happen
