Hacking R4DS Lite Problem?

I recently got my new DS Lite and I've been playing my R4 on my old DS. Now that I got my new lite I put the r4 in and it doesn't read it. I tried putting it into the old DS and it works just fine anyone help please? I would greatly appreciate it.

does the new dsl work? have you tried a retail game cart or another flash kit? it could be a contact problem between the r4 and the dsl. you might have to take it out put it in a number of times and/or use the paper trick behind the pcb.

I tried retail games and they work fine. I don't think the flash kit is a problem but I'll check. The paper trick might solve it.

well if the kit works in one ds but not another, its a contact issue. what you want to do is open the shell up (there is a tiny screw on the back) and put a very small bit of paper behind the pcb so it sticks forward ever-so-slightly. don't over do it.
