I have a o3dsxl and I want to use a r4 flashcart cartridge for it. Unfortunately, the screen goes black, and when I press A, it returns to the home screen. Is there any solution?

what year is your 3ds set to? If it's past 2018 try setting the clock to 2018 or earlier.

When did you hack your 3ds and which cfw is it running?

my 3ds is set to today's date. I bought my o3dsxl on February and it is refurbished. the version of my o3dsxl is v11.6.0-39U and my cfw is luma v 9.0

I've just set my date to 2011, it doesn't work, unfortunately

Those options might be outdated if you can't find them. You could try the second step and inject a clean twl.
