Hacking R4 roms not working

Most of my roms all work fine but I have found a growing number of them that won't. When I select the rom to play it goes to a white screen or if I run Pandora.nds it gives me "error number 4". I have a DS LITE and run an old r4 sdhc flashcard.
Could someone plz help me out with a simple answer or solution. I'm not stupid just wondering if there is an easy solution. Below is a picture of r4 cart and card I use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you click cancel to create save game file ? when launch game. If you did try to create save game file for every new game launch. That was causing white screen for me.
If not, try delete the .sav file for white screen game and try again.

If the kernel you are using now is v1.34 see the indications of the R4SDHC spoiler.
If the kernel you are using now is v2.07 see the indications of the R4i-SDHC spoiler.
I always recommend the DUAL BOOTING solution.
