Ordering 5 units of the R4 now (for me and my friends). I've got 2 options, Gameyeeeah and Divineo China.

Gameyeeeah: 220$ including shipping (DHL 4PX), but i have to pay using moneybookers(which i have to send the money to first from my bank which takes like 3-5 days)

Divineo China: 233$ including shipping (China EMS Post Service), but I can pay with western union which is almost instant.

I'm really torn, do I take the more expensive option with so-so shipping service to avoid the hassle of bank transfers, or take the cheaper option which has better shipping service (DHL-to-doorstep), but wait for like 5 days till the money gets in my moneybookers account. Safe shipping is important to me because I'm shipping to Egypt, who knows what could happen if it goes through the government's post service.

Over at winsunx I summed 5 units to 211.53$ (including shipping to egypt), they also accept western union

R4DS: 34.99x5 = US$174.95
Shipping : US$36.58

Total:
211.53$

With Express (5~7 working days)

Ordered mine from mrmodchips.co.uk for £32.50 plus £2.05 registered shipping. placed order at 15:30 and it arrived at 08:30 the next day.

Not the cheapest price, but fast and secure. Also got my xbox modchip and GC Viper from them.

1gb Kingston Hi-speed card from ebay for £21 including registered shipping. I always go for Kingston.

Can't wait to get home tonight!!!!!!!

(BTW, Divineo suck goat balls IMHO)

Unfortunately all of Divineo US's shipments originate from Canada. I don;t know why, but the last few times I have ordered from them the shipment had come from Canada.

I ordered my R4 from Divineo China since I have had horrible luck with getting things shipped from Canada to the US. I get orders from China within a few days, sometimes overnight and I live in the 4 corners area!

Go figure!

Ordered by R4 on Dec. 29 from Divineo.cn and was shipped on the 30th. Should get it in another day or so. The mail is stopped here today because of the presidents memorial.

Cost $45+$15 for EMS shipping so I could track it. So far I'd say that Divineo.cn is ok, as long as my cart comes in the next 2 days. They did ship out pretty quick though. Haven't got my microSD yet, may just pay the extra and get from best buy versus waiting for online order.

Did anyone here try winsunx? are they any good (support/fast shipping?)? can they also declare low value of the parcel to avoid customs?

also, why cant I login to my newly created account there?

winsunx's website is nearly non-functional, i cant log in, and i cant send them emails for support. What's up with that?

UPDATE: Well i can login now, but their support email isn't working

2nd UPDATE: Well, it turn out there was a typo on the site, after looking around for a while i found the real one.

So, western union is going to charge me 27$ out of my 210$ to transfer the money, which sucks and rules out both divineo and winsunx(eventhough they both can take regular bank transfers, they charge 15$ for adminstrative purposes). that leaves me with 1 option, Gameyeeah.

So i've got to go to my bank, transfer the money to my moneybookers account, then order. I recon this will take nearly a week, then i have to wait for shipping

I CANT WAIT!

sucks to be me.

how long does this "DHL,4PX" shipping take? is that express, trackable? (gameyeaaaahhh)

mars

The site says 2-5 days, but they just shipped orders today due to some eathquake in China.

I ordered mine from gameyeeeah.com too; it was a pretty good deal, $100 for an R4 and an M3 lite perfect.

I can't wait!

Ordered from: modchipstore.com
Date: 12.31.06
Price: $44.95 + $6.95 (DHL Ground Shipping) = $51.90
microSD Card: 1GB Kingston from buy.com - $10.00
Status: mircoSD already shipped a couple weeks ago, R4 status is still on "processing" due to the holidays I'm assuming.

Same here. I live in GA also. I expect us to get it on Friday.

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
    +1
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
