I doubt it cause people who read this kind of news are generally already aware of the possibilities of ds pirating no? This is kotaku, not the 8 'o clock news.

I figure that all the rampant piracy on the DS will just cause Nintendo to release an all-new handheld sooner rather than later.

And the whole cycle will start over again.

I think the R4 appearing in the ad is just a sign of the times and Gamestop's way of showing just how out of control piracy on the DS is.

so with 3 unofficial carts in the case, one could draw the conclusion that it is a picture of a developer's personal case or maybe it is one of those situations where the media guys try to see if they can get away with an inside joke. I used to make training tools for a certain company that makes radios and I altered the display on one to read 4:20 just to see who would catch it. Very juvinile of me, I know, but that is what makes work like that bearable from time to time.

I suppose the ad also shows that the owner of the case also buys the official cartridges as well as his/hers flash cart.

I wonder how many more people we'll get on the forums here asking if they can play GBA games on the R4 XD Then again, I doubt it if people aren't really willing to pay $80 for it.
