Hacking R4 + 3in1 issues?

I'm looking for some help. I've recently purchased an R4 HDSC (which is working fine), but in order to take advantage of both the GBA capabilities and the extended memory I've also gotten a "Ez Flash V 3in1" at the recommendation of a few others.

However, it seems that I can't do a thing to actually get this card to do much of anything -- even GBExpLoader won't recognize the card on my R4. So? Is the 3in1 crap? Should I try to uplaod something onto the SD card on the R4? I'm op to suggestion.

Try running YSMenu as your main firmware. It has built-in GBA support.

Have you tried actually blowing in the 3in1 and making sure it makes contact?

Also, are you using gbaexploader .58b?
