I would smack it around a bit. That is usually a low-tech fix that works well and what do you got to lose?

Everything. Imagine you break your system and you're out of warranty. Actually, I smacked my DS Lite to get the sound working and kabazow, it started working.

Yeah maybe there is some risk in it but a DS w/o L/R buttons renders a lot of games unplayable.

And about your sound problem.. Exactly my point... I've smacked things into working countless times in my life...

Blow air (from your mouth, of course) into the slits of where the L and R buttons are. It isn't permenant, only temporary. It stays working for different periods of time each time you blow into it.

Is this an undocumented feature?

DON'T DO THAT!!! I did that with my DS and my top screen stopped working for 10 mins (got back to normal after that) but I was on the verge of getting a stroke lol

So what can i do because i have the same problem on my dsi

I had that with my DSi and since i had it fr less than a month I could return it to Game stop and get one immediately... try Nintendo if not... might take a few weeks but it'll keep your warranty

I've never had that happen to me.

I guess it's just my curse of the materialism that's playing on me then XD

I was going to mention something about this, because my ds is having problem with the L button making some games impossible to play. Although it isn't the first time something like this went worong on my ds, and the only way i know to correct this properly is open it up.
