Hacking quick questions on r4

it's been tough to search since r4 is only 2 characters.
i have 3 questions regarding the r4 card:

1.) does it work with online play for all games? or does nintendo ds wifi require a unique cartidge ID to play online?

2.) do gba roms work on the r4?

3.) are there any games that are known to have issues on the r4 or on wifi with the r4?

1.) I guess so... I know of no problems on wifi play using r4ds.

2.) R4ds can be used as a passme card. The r4 alone will not play gba roms.

3.) Yes. Castlevania and Tony Hawk are known to have issues with r4, but only if you are using certain microsd's. It dependes on the memory card you are using.

Before we had r4ds, m3simply, ds-x and other slot-1 solutions, we had slot-2 solutions... Back then when we wanted to play nds roms on the ds, we had to had passme card on the ds slot, in order to play the games.

thanks for the replies. what did you mean by pass through card?

It's able to boot up a slot2 cart in DS mode, so you can run DS games from a GBA based flash cartridge without the need of an extra passcard.
GBA games booting from slot2 however is also supported without a passcard, so you just need a GBA flashcart either way...
