Does MCU Bricker still, well, brick? I tested it out but after doing research I'm not sure if it's safe to continue using it.

Messing with the LED's doesn't has any chance to brick anything on any firmware. Yellows8's battery ran out while testing his code and fried his MCU FW that's all. Yellows8's code works properly, he just forgot to charge the battery.
