Hacking Quick Question

Please don't flame me for being a noob about this, but I need a few questions answering.
I know there is a dummies guid, but at 30pages+ I can't be bothered to trawl through it all.

Basically, a friend at work is using the Twilight hack.
He says he has the files on an SD card and should just need copying to my wii.
No idea which it is, he says it shows a "Backup Loader" channel on his wii, which he uses to load the games.

First, how far into Zelda do I have to go, or can i get a save thats already at the right spot?
How easy is it to copy the data off the SD card?
Do I need to leave the SD card in?
How can I tell what firmware i'm on and does it matter anymore?

Can I just download the game and burn straight onto a DVD-R or do I need to use a specific program to burn it?

Firmware can be seen in the settings. Ideal firmware is 3.2

How do I create the channel? Or will this come with the files on the SD card?
Will it harm my chances if I have the latest firmware?

When you have 3.4, you need the latest TP hack
Also, it will be deleted after every use

That is one of the worst things you can say on these boards. Please take the time to read, if you don't and fuck your system up your going to seriously wish you had taken the time. The 30+ pages are not the guide just people asking questions about it for clarification or help with problems. Also after making the statement that you can't be bothered your going to have alot of the knowledgeable people on here who normally go out of their way to help ignore you, with the reasoning if you can't be bothered to read the guides that we take the time to make, why should we be bothered to answer your questions.

Do as Tj suggested... and look into downgrading as all the greatest advancements on the wii are being made for 3.2
