Hacking Quick Question

I'm on my way to my bud's place so mod his wii to be able to play backups.
He's running 3.2, yet he doesn't have the net.

I know that with mine, when I had to install some new IOS, I had to run a program from the Homebrew Channel that connected to an online server to download a new patch/IOS.

My question, (finally), is if there's any way I can upgrade this other wii to be able to use Backup Loader gamma without having to connect to the net?

I understand I can't ask for IOS/cIOS here, so disregarding that, I just want to know if its at all possible, or if I need to take his wii someplace I have net access?

edit: now i can't remember if you actually need an internet connection for that. at first i thought you didn't but i started thinking that you might. well its worth trying it out i suppose. its not like it will do anything bad it will just tell you it is unable to connect to the internet.

Unfortunately, it required an internet connection to download the cIOS.

Luckily, I was able to track down Waninkoko's installer, and it installed the cIOS without a net connection.

i knew something worked without an internet connection, i just couldn't remember which one it was.
