Hello! Sorry if this is a basic question, not the most well-versed w/ this stuff aha.

In short my questions:
1. *Should* there be an issue if I were use back-up save data on my Switch 1 that's also been transferred to my Switch 2 (and be safe to connect to the internet).

2. *Should* there be any issue with transferring modified save data to a Switch 2 if the modification was just the quantity of an item?

Additional C o n t e x t:

I primarily modded my Switch for two things with Pokemon S/V:
1. Maxed out Herba Mystica
2. Mod that adds glowing eyes to shinies

My games are legit (physical) copies, I don't mod/hack anything to do with anything online, etc etc, I just wanted to make shiny hunting a bit less tedious.

I want to see if it's possible for me to do a data transfer to my Switch 2 (which as far as I understand is basically an all or nothing) while still being able to shiny hunt on my switch 1 using the same save file.

My thinking was:
1. Back-up the save data for Pokemon and store on my computer
2. Do the Switch 2 Data transfer (which factory resets the Switch 1)
3. (Re)set up Switch 1/boot Pokemon to create save data
4. Boot Switch 1 w/ Atmosphere and upload the save data

I now have the same save data on both consoles.

I understand that they wouldn't be synced up at this point, I just want to continue shiny hunting on Switch 1 while having access to my current save progress on Switch 2.

This all being said, should there be any problems with either of the following:

- If I were to connect to Pokemon HOME on either Switch console interchangeably using the same save data.
- If the save data that's transferred to Switch 2 had the quantity of an item (Herba) modified (to an amount that's "technically" legal).

Sorry if that's too much in
fo, but help appreciated, thanks! 🙏

As far as we have seen up to now, it depends on whether you have an advantage by hacking the save games.
Some users reported getting a ban after hacking their SmashBros save games and going online to compete against others.
Most games don't care about save game hacking but with Nintendo's own games, you never know.
