Homebrew Questions cooncerning 3ds repairs/hardmod

Hi!! I am currently in need of assistance of fixing my 3ds. No I'm not asking for someone to fix it for me, I am simply asking for pointers so I don't screw up. I own 2 nintendo 3ds but one broke 2 years ago. I asked a person who could repair my 3ds but he wanted $100 dollars so I decided to do it myself. I finally opened it today and it was kinda of dirty. Like really bad. I did repairs because both screens didn't turn on and the l and r buttons were broken.
No I didn't brick this 3ds because it ran ninjahax. I came to conclusion that one of the ribbons broke and is wondering what part should I purchase and how to clean it without damaging it

You're not exactly new to GBATemp, judging by your post count, so you should know that you shouldn't be asking hardware questions outside of the hardware-related subforum, right? You'll probably get better replies over there as well.

Clean it with 97% isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol and cotton swabs. As far as the broken ribbon, what part is it connected to?

That I'm trying to figure out. thnx for the cleaning tip but please post in the hardware section of 3ds for now on since I was informed to. I believe that maybe it might be the flex cable like this
