Hacking Questions about the latest patches from Duplex...

Okay, so there are two particular Duplex patches that REALLY interest me right now. The Devil May Cry HD Collection (DMCHD) and NeverDead. I looked at the NFO files for them, and noticed that the DMCHD patch was tested with the EUR release, and NeverDead doesn't specify the region.

So here's my questions: has anybody tried the patches with the US version of DMCHD and NeverDead ? If so, do they work?

I can't find a reliable source for US Region PS3 games anymore, but I have a GameFly account. So if these patches work on the US versions, I'll be fine.

I am NOT looking for an online source for US PS3 games! Please don't get yourself in trouble on my account by posting about that. I'm just asking if anybody has tried the patches with US versions.

while I won't confirm they will work, a lot of the eboot patches for PS3 game tend to be european anyway so I guess they should work

NeverDead works for the eur release. anyway most patches work for the us version too

Alright, I'll wait for one to come in from GameFly, try it out, and report back I guess. Currently waiting on The Last Story to arrive to feed my WODE. Then my wife wants Thor, so it may be a week or two before I can test this myself.

PS3 is region free but not all patches are. I have been patching for little over a year now and have had some patches fail on me now and then. Trustworthy souce and selfmade patching but any you get off the net normally is fine on either region. Not all will though.

Make a backup of the game, patch it and post your findings

So would EU version of UMVC3 work with a USA 3.55 patch? aint been following the new developments foe a while

What I really want to know is if these are being patched with the 3.60 keys, because if so I can just use that patcher that came out. I guess when I get NeverDead I'll try the released patch and then try the one patcher.

u can patch some of the tb games urself with the original eboot. however, the game must have an update that uses 3.60 keys. several tb games don't have any updates. also, many require 3.70 or higher including updates. the 3.60 patches r having their keys replaced with 3.55's, so that they'll work with cfw. rogero is developing a new 3.55 cfw to patch the eboots automatically though, so eventually there will be no need to patch them.
