I saw a link on gbatemp a few weeks ago.

It allowed AR(.duc) files from say gamefaqs to be conveted onto a .sav.So you can play the AR .duc on a flashcart.Anyone know im talking about

Search around for a program called "max2sc". It will do what you want. I used it to translate the game saves from my retail carts to Supercard format, which are readable by my DS-X.

EarthBound- the reason is because the R4/M3 Simply use their own save type (512kb file size, regular game saves are 256kb) and NEEDS to use the converter supplied on the CD that came with it (or on its website)

EDIT: also, 256kb save files work fine on X9
