Hacking Questions about 4.5 and DevMenu

Hello guys I succesfully downgraded my 3DS to 4.5 and installed a CFW with the FlareGames tutorials.

But what am I supposed to do now?

I want to try it out backing up a game and install a CIA file. But do I need to make a emuNand?
I dont found anything about it, can you guys help me?
