No, because DSi homebrew is restricted to the TWL_FIRM sandbox. For rxTools at least, you can downgrade MSET and use the DS Profile entrypoint without an internet connection.

I see. I could have sworn someone said they had been using sudokuhax as a gw launcher. Ive thought about doing a fw downgrade to 4.5 so I could just use mset, but I don't want to compromise dsware. Thanks for clearing that up though.

Might've been they were using sudokuhax to launch one of the MSET ROP installers.

You don't need to downgrade the entire system, Cakes and rxTools both support selectively downgrading MSET. It doesn't affect the rest of your console at all, and unless you're using a 2DS it doesn't change anything.

But playing ds games still removes the launcher right? I guess it wouldnt be too bad. I could install the mset launcher before taking my ds anywhere without internet and use the bluecard to install whenever I need to. Is there a tutorial somewhere to downgrade mset?

The point of sudokuhax is so you can install the MSET exploit without needing to carry around the blue card or using the internet browser. There is a tutorial in the rxtools download zip, and also in the tutorials section.

I read that there's a few ways to get it to persist through playing DS games, but I haven't tested them myself, and can't find the threads off hand. If you do a bit of searching though you'll probably find something.

So there's probably an option in the rxtools menu.

I'll look into that for sure.

Thanks again.

Let me know if you’ll ever remember this info, please. Wasn’t able to find anything through searching the forums/google.

Were you able to find anything?
