Hacking Question regarding softmod PSP 3004

Hello everyone,

i have just obtained a PSP 3004 with version 6.39

i was wondering if i can use the 6.39 PRO-B7 softmod for this? i read elsewhere that using this would brick my psp 100% chance..

and yet again in the topic here i read that it IS possible..

and can i say that PSP 3004 = 3000 ? or is the psp 3004 an entire seperate thing?

The last digit of any PSP model is merely a region code.

Either you're getting confused with an aspect of 6.39 PRO (the permanent CIPL flash which CANNOT be done on a 3000) or the site you're using for reference is awful.

Every PSP can run 6.39 PRO in it's temporary form. Only some PSP's (older fully flashable PSP's) can run 6.39 PRO in it's permanent form. All this means is that every time you fully power off you just need to restart PRO from the main menu....takes about 5-10 secs.

Use this thread (CLICK ME) to figure out how to mod your psp. It should not brick as long as you follow the instructions it works with any model psp. The most current version of the pro software is PRO-B8 however. So when it says to install PRO-B7 use the PRO-B8 version from here instead (CLICK ME).

check your psp motherboard. there is a signed homebrew that will tell ya.
