Is it possible to play in ad-hoc mode with different region 3ds?

Since NA doesn't get the "good size" new 3ds, I'm only getting mh4u (us) legit copy for now to be used with my old xl, and waiting for gw to work on new 3ds, and import one(of course the one with supported firmware).

Will I be able to play together with my friends(locally) using legit mh4u cart (us, same region ad my friends)through classic mode on a different region new 3ds (jp/eu)?

Yep, Classic Mode lets you play locally with existing carts. I haven't heard of people having any issues with online/local play either.

i'm afraid I won't be able to play locally because the n3ds region is different.
