Hi folks! I could be blind, but I really did look through the forums for this. It doesn't help that searching PSX and PS3 is too small for the search box... Anyway, I was wondering if it's too early in the PS4 jailbreaking situation to be asking about PSOne and PS3 games. Am I jumping the gun?

- 4.55 Holy Grail
- We can ignore PS4 and PS2 pkg files. Those I've got handled.

Would anyone be able to either point me in the right direction or tell me to cool my jets? Honestly, PS3 isn't really a top priority of mine, but you'd think PSOne would be a breeze on a machine like that and there were so many fantastic games...

Welp, thanks for hearing me out.

Only ps3 titles you would be getting is on PSnow. The ps4 isn't backwards compatible and an emulator isn't practical but possible. As for ps1 go you would have to wait for an an emulator.

PS3 emulation, forget about it, unless some breakthrough on PS3 HLE like UltraHLE but I wouldn't hold my breath.

PSONE emulation is feasible (an RPi could do it) when someone is bored enough to port an emulator.

It usually takes some interest from the retroarch devs to get these things rolling. Nothing much appears to be happening for now.

You guys are awesome, thank you so much for the quick answers. I'll hold tight and keep my fingers crossed.

I tried last night to make a PS2PSXE pkg, but it ended up with a memory error. The same thing happened with PGEN 1.51, i tried PGEN 1.2 and it makes a good pkg but says wrong PS2 version. I think someone successfully made a ulaunchelf so maybe you can put emus inside that, just a theory

Yeah, it's not quite like the VITA where most PSP emulators could be used easily. PS2Emu is good but definitely has issues with a lot of stuff.
