Homebrew [ Question ] FE: Fates N3DS XL

Hi, i saw a post on r/3dshacks about the firmware bundled with the Fates edition N3DS XL. Can anyone confirm the firmware that's bundled with it? Some are saying 10.3 but some aren't. These consoles were released in February with 10.3(?) so would all of them (included recently manufactured ones) be bundled with the same firmware?

Can't speak for everyone, but mine was on 10.3. It's not anymore, of course.

I doubt that they manufactured any after that so yeah, worst case scenario is that it has too high of a firmware and you return it.

One guy got 10.5, but it seems to be the only case of 10.5 seen so far. Mine was 10.3, so, I think you'll be fine.

I was able to pick one up at my local EB games. If the online map was correct, I got the last EB Games FATES N3DS in canada, so that's cool.

I got mine from a guy on craigslist for $140. It was practically new. Idk what the hell that guy was thinking and I didn't ask. I got super lucky.

it possible couldn't. Mine came with 10.7. But i had a copy of Cubic Ninja so I was fine. So there's a chance it'll be too high

Even if it's version 10.3 you could still install a9lx sysNAND by downgrading it to v9.2 -> v2.1 -> latest version :=)

are you sure nothing wrong with it?
Check light bleeding in the lower screen or for ghosting effect.

That's what I thought, but I'm pretty sure it's fine. I've even taken it completely apart.

that's very good news,i've seen some people on neogaf have that light leaking problem from the same N3DSXL.
