Hey so I have a switch on 9.1.0 that recently got banned. I never dealt with this, but I used atmosphere and fusee and I can’t access any of Nintendo online so I assume full ban. My switch does not recognize any micro as card that I put into the console. I have wiped out both the sd and the system but I do not have any backup to my knowledge.

my question is do I just have a brick or is there anyway to get back home brew etc on it

I tried searching but I have not found any info about a switch not recognizing sd cards after a ban but I can’t get it to recognize

Anyone know if this could be a hardware issue rather then from the ban? As far as not being able to read any sd card

Most likely. The MicroSD slot is modular and replaceable without soldering. You don't even have to remove the metal shielding, just removing the plastic back is enough to get access to it. The connector on the motherboard can be a little flimsy, so make sure not to damage it if you try replacing the slot, as it's not easy to repair.

I agree with Jdbye. I know several cases that the switch sd card reader connector lost the pins. I hope it is not in this case.
have to open your switch and check the sd card reader and reseat and tighten it.

Are you formatting your micro sd card fat32 or exfat. If you dont have exfat installed and have it formatted exfat it wont recognize it. Try fat32 if your not alreasy and see if that will work.

Hey guys, I’m going to try and take the back off tonight and check to see the slot connector is loose. I more or less wanted to make sure it didn’t have anything to do with being banned as I’ve never been so I wasn’t sure.

All 3 sd cards I have are fat 32 and work in my other switch so I know it’s not the card format.

thanks for the responses

Hey so I was able to fix it, the connector to the micro sd was loose so I pressed down and made sure it was connected. I’m a little worried about it popping back up, does anyone know what paste I can use to keep it down

I have never heard of anyone using paste on it and ive never had 1 come up like that if ur real worried about it maybe some clear tape across the top would do but i wouldnt worry about it.
