First of all, I am NOT asking if there is a working N64 emulator out.

But, I do remember hearing that a guy was working on messing around with N64 emulation.
Does anyone know who was making it? Has he released any progress? Or, has it fallen into the pit of disparity and dead homebrew? ;)

Wasn't that complete bullshit?
Unless there was an actual one with proof that I don't remember.

I'm pretty sure its fallen dead considering the 3DS isn't very powerful and probably won't run N64 well

There was a bullshit thread, I totally remember that.
But, I also remember that someone reputable in the PSP scene was working on something.

A ps1 emulator isn't as demanding as an n64 emu

Don't they use the same processor?

I would say it might be more possible on the new 3DS but even then Nintendo Devices are usually terribly underpowered. That being said it seems like the 3DS is probably more powerful than the original Wii and the Wii had a somewhat decent N64 emulator.

I've read it had more to do with how graphics are handled.

Ahh, makes sense. So, does the 3ds have more similarities to the PS1 hardware-wise, then? If it can handle PS1, then that must mean something is similar.

If no one can remember, then it might be just me misremembering that bullshit N64 emu. If so, that's totally my bad. ;-;

The Wii's n64 emulator was fantastic! I didn't have any lag spikes. I still use it to this day

Wii actually ran off of old Gamecube hardware, hence why it looked like garbage graphically. And, I'm not sure how the 3DS hardware compares with the Gamecube/Wii, so theoretically it may be possible.

Yeah, I'd need a generator attached to my N3DS while I play the N64 just give it it the right amount of power xD
