So pegascape doesn't have planned support for 8.0.1 anytime soon, right?
So can't be just downgrade the NAND using CFW (hear me out) which would obviously result in it not booting due to burnt fuses.
But regardless of burnt fuses you can still bypass it using something like the SX OS menu to boot OFW, right? (I say from experience)
So we boot OFW using this and then whenever we feel like it using the DNS to boot into CFW because we are now on a supported firmware.
And then when we want to go back to OFW we just reboot to payload, something like the sx os boot menu, and then boot OFW. Right?
I know this has a problem that if the switch runs out of charge then you are screwed and need a computer but apart from that it should work?

No, support only for 1.0.0-3.0.0 consoles announced.
You can bypass the fuse check with custom boot loaders, yes.
I don't understand why you even want to downgrade because your method is associated with more effort than simply booting Atmosphere on 8.0.1.

Pegascape runs when OFW already starts, its purpose is to avoid the need to send own bootloader. If you downgrade to fw with lower expected fuse count your system won’t boot without custom bootloader. Once you ise custom bootloader pegascape is not needed anymore.

No, no. You misunderstand. So boot to custom bootloader using pegascape bypassing the need to have a computer or RCMloader. In CFW you can boot back to bootloader and boot OFW. Sure it si a hassle but in emergencies where you don't have a CFW loaded, can't it be helpful?

Pegascape is not a custom bootloader. It is a warmboot browser exploit that requires a network connection in order to work which might be harder to come by than carrying around a dongle or your phone and a USB cable. And if you're able to boot with a custom bootloader anyways, you can just boot straight into CFW. Plus sleep mode is a thing.

Just buy a payload injector if you're that worried about it crashing if you aren't hone

Ah shoot, i forgot that it requires wifi. Ok so my method is only useful if your in a place with wifi
