Hacking Question about this soldering iron

Ok well I am going to buy this soldering iron from Radioshack:

Has anyone bought this model and if so is the tip small enough for soldering the wiikey with long wires? I saw it in store and the tip seems a little too big.

It's a 30W iron , the tip would be the least of your worries using that on a wii.

I've read that 30-watt irons are ok to use. I'm just worried that the tip will be too large.

From reading previous threads it sounds like somebody good with soldering can get away with using 50W irons.

But if you're a noob at soldering (like me) use this one - I successfully installed my WiiKey with it.

I did use a VERY VERY old solder iron... the tip is.... big on it.
But it was still very easy.
So with that one it would be VERY easy

I was thinking about buying the 15-watt iron but the 30-watt iron comes in a set with accessories.

If you are really experienced, then I think 30 Watt would work, but if you aren't a 15 Watt iron is a must.

15w is fine. Even my 12w one does the job great.

So I bought the 15-watt soldering iron and I am very pleased. The tip of the iron is much more smaller than the 30-watt iron so its a lot easier to use.
