Question about the Internet browser

So, I've been using the Switch's "secret" internet browser, and was wondering if downloading files was possible. I've tried GitHub, just to see if i could but it does not like the browser's search engine.

No it can't. The built in "browser" is very very basic

We're lucky enough that the browser works. Anymore functionality isn't worth their time.
