Hardware Question about the Display...

...A good friend got a Fire Emblem Fates Console (N3DS) and has noticed that her display goes from normal to rather dull and then back to normal frequently while she's playing.
IIRC there are two types of Displays, TN and IPS. Is this a common issue with one of those display types?

That's the auto brightness..... It can be disabled.

Will tell her to disable it and see if its better now.
