Hardware Question about shoulder repairs

Hey guys the R button on my 3DS that I had since launch no longer works, so I'm about to buy myself new flex cables to repair both shoulders (the L button is starting to break). What I wanted to know was if I needed to buy new buttons as well, or just the new flex cables? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

It's modules so just buy replacement part
