Hacking Question about sharing Wii data

i don't know how much of this is true but:
supposedly you can only use a game disc in one wii. Nothing besides Miis are transferable between Wiis. So how is it so easy to transfer game saves between Wiis? Shouldn't the save check to make sure its the same game that it came from?

You can use game discs in any number of Wii systems.
