ROM Hack Question Question about save importing

i downloaded an nsp of animal crossing: new horizons and ive been playing on it for a good while, and a friend bought me a physical copy of the game for my birthday. since i've had a lot of experience in my current game, would it be possible to import my save from my current game to a legitimate copy of the game without getting banned or anything?

The save file is tied to your Nintendo switch, doesn’t matter if it’s an NSP or a physical cartridge. You can switch between both of them anytime you one as long as both are of the same region.(some games from different region also share the same save file)

as for the fact whether you will get ban or not is another story. I’ve not heard of any people being banned due to hacking Animal Crossing’s save file but there’s always the chance if you go online with your CFW.

tl;dr you don’t need to import the save file. Start the game and it’ll be there. There’s always the risk of getting van with CFW
