Question About DDR

So I was thinking about getting a DDR mat for my upcoming three year old in May. I've seen some of the amazing work done with custom imported songs on Guitar Hero, various systems, and I was wondering if there had been any work done like that for DDR, maybe even with at least a partially defunct community still supporting it.
