Hacking Question about Coldboothax

Hey,
if i can recall right, there was 2 Coldboothax developed.
1 by @smealum and 1 by @Hykem

As far as we now Hykem documented very much and wrote it down to Wiiubrew.
Smealum released Iosuhax but there is not a exploit released.

I searched on Google and looked up Wiiubrew but there are no signs giving away how Coldboothax works.

I don't know if Team Salt is working on such a thing but im interested to know a bit more about this topic.

I'm pretty sure Hykem's exploit was not a cold-boot exploit, the currently released exploit is entirely based on Hykem's existing documentation, and it is not a cold-boot hack.

He delayed his release to Christmas or February so he could finish a Coldboot exploit (he said)
