Hacking Question about 5.07

As i understand it there is no recovery option for 5.07, is that correct. For those using the exploit on this firmware what are the odds of needing to recover, and what are the options for someone running this firmware.


Would it be better to just go with a 5.05 system, or are the risks of using 5.07 negligible?

Correct; no REC pup.

All HEN for 5.05 works on 5.07.

If your hdd dies/corrupts or you want to upgrade the internal, you can’t fix it without updating to the 5.50 REC pup, which loses your ability to run HEN.

I would say that it’s low chance of needing to recover, but if you do even once you’re screwed.

The situation will resolve itself naturally when the next kernel exploit is release though, so as long as the hard drive lasts a year then you should be safe. You could always clone the hard drive first.
