This is probably an old issue, but i just came accross this issue and could not find a solution.

I got my PSVSD a few months ago and finally decided to try it out.
Installed the hardware
Installed the software per https://psvsd.henkaku.xyz/
Followed the instructions

Now the issue that i have is that i cannot get the microsd card it to automount as uma0 from cold booting the vita
When I cold boot and go to vitashell, the uma0 does not appear
Per this guide (https://www.reddit.com/r/vitahacks/comments/6x28bz/psvsd_v21_fix_for_microsd_card_detection_issue/), the OP had a similar issue and stated:

"The only way I could find was to start the plugin installer, press the X button ('Install USB as memory card') and then the O button to quit the installer. Then the SD card is mounted as uma0: and can be found and used in VitaShell or MolecularShell."

This works for me if, I got the uma0 drive to appear, if i to to usbmc installation and exit out of the installation of the usb as a memory card.

I wanted to know if anyone has a more permanent solution

Thanks for the help

I never used the guide you've used. I've used this guide, that is considered the official hacking guide for PS Vita. And no need for hardmods. :teach:

If you are trying to setup a SD2Vita, just follow the steps from this part of the guide. As far as I know, it's the easiest and most reliable way to setup your PS Vita with a SD card. :)

Alternatively, you may be able to use part of the instructions to apply to your hardmod instead.

Set Storage manager to use the PSVSD as uma0.
That ought to solve the issue.

I've got a PSVSD as well and it's set to ux0, Vita Memory card is uma0 for me.

Edit: don't use USBMC, just get a registery editor and edit your telephone debug settings to 0 to get rid of the SIM error.

In the registry editor, navigate to Config then Tel and it should be the last setting, use_debug_settings.
Iirc, a stock 3G Vita has it set to 0, set this to 1.
This should prevent the popup from appearing that you don't have a SIM inserted.
