Gaming PSU Question

Right, so I'm a techy, so if you can't follow, I'll explain :/

Currently I have a 400w True PSU (In other words, 400w of pure power).
My current rig is..
A Zotac GeForce 260 Core 216
Intel Core 2 Duo Quad 6600
4 GB DDR2 Ram
500 GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 HDD

I think that's all the important stuff?
Well, I have a Super Multi Burner and 9 USB Ports?

So I was wondering, am I able to add another HDD inside, or will I eff it up.
I'm thinking of buying a WD Caviar Green Hard drive as it's very eco-friendly and doesn't use up too much power.

I'm just scared :/

Adding another drive should be fine. They don't require much power from the psu. You should check the amps on the 12v rail just to be sure though.

Oh right.
It's 36amps on the 12v rail.

I'm just kinda worried about frying my PSU :/

Go ahead. I ran 3 HDs, a DVD burner, an overclocked older AMD CPU and a overclocked 9800GT on an terrible old 380w no name brand for quite a while.

SATA drives tend to be 6-12W on the PSU, depending on how eco-friendly it is. Assume 10W, and add that to the rest of the system, then you'll know if it's safe or not. A PSU can over-draw, but that tends to lead to instability (understandably).
