"PSPgo Rewards" programme - Sony's UMD Compensation Sche

I have no plans on getting a PSPgo, nor a PSP. But I noticed something amusing. Go buy the game, do this "rewards" thing, take the game back. That's 17 free games.

You'll only get 3 games out of the list and you'd also need a PSP-1000, PSP-2000 or PSP-3000. So it's not the best deal.

Most retailers over here aren't even gonna stock many units. Can't blame them seeing actual game sales count more for their business, especially used games.

Yeah since the goal of psp go is to buy games online its not good for gamestop/places like that.

It's not good for ANY store. Any store that sells games will lose revenue because of this.

LIke I said, if you are a beta tester, get the PSPgo as it's only for testing to fight anti-piracy for Sony. This 'upgrade' is just a gimmick to lure stupid people into buying the PSPgo.

Im not a good beta tester, as in AKAIO 1.5 pre-release or some other games. Just wait for PSP 4000 if you want something new. UMD will return and not to be forgotten. Unless the PSPgo is a success.

PS: Im a product analyst.

PS again: This promo are for people who already have a PSP 1/2/300x who wished to "upgrade" to the PSPgo (who are stupid enough to buy the PSPgo)

It's ridculous of Sony to expect people to pay again for games they already own, but even if they did come up with a system to redeem games I still wouldn't buy one, I don't really like the control placement, and my PSP 1000 is more than good enough.

They're just trying to make a quick buck, but it's a system that won't make consumers happy, and it certainly won't please the game stores-they make most of their money on games, not consoles.

The PSP doesn't have many good games anyway, and Sony should just have a special credit program for regions that have Sony Style stores, people bring in the games and get vouchers for free downloads of those games if they own a PSPGo

i heard somewhere that you could download games from the pc and put it on the psp would there be an alternative program to put on free games ?

Man, PSPGo is going to be dead on arrival. No retailer wants to carry it, and no consumer is interested in buying it: there is no incentive for new consumers (no dual analog stick, not quite a portable PS2) and no reason for existing PSP owners to upgrade (we already can play downloadable content. with existing hardware...ahem.)
