Gaming Psp CFW update issue

I been trying to install 5.50 gen d to my friends psp phat but every time i install it, it goes to a black a screen.
So basically I go from
5.00 M33-4 > 5.00 m33-6 then 5.50 gen a > 5.50 gen b then 5.50 gen d
by the time i got to D , there always a black screen and it just sits there all black for a long time

Am i doing something wrong with my installation?

Sure you're not using a Pandora battery by accident?

I used a pandora to get 5.00 M33, and then I just went straight to Gen D3, without a pandora, and it worked totally fine for me.

You could just get M33 by using pandora and MMS then use the Gen B2 updater, since it was made to skip Gen A, then once B2 is installed use the Gen D3 updater to get it. I have done this many times to fix a brick and get back to D3.

Just install D3 over m33-6, you'll do fine. Or skip 5.00m33-6 AT ALL, and just flash 5.50 GEN-D3 with the new Hellcat.
