Hey guys, I have just bought a PSP 2000 slim model which has a strange issue.
If I start it up normally I get the dreaded green light/black screen. However, if when I push the power switch up then press firmly around the top left corner of the screen, just above the right button on the D pad, it will start up OK.
I have stripped it down and can't find anything that could indicate a loose connection, in fact as you are probably already aware there are no connections in that area. I am assuming bad solder joints on the chip that appears to be in that location.
Is there anyway to fix this? I don't have a problem with playing about with stuff like this but I would rather know what I am doing before I jump in. I took apart many xbox 360s to fix the dreaded RROD using a heat gun but this is substantially smaller and more delicate!!
Any tips??
