Hacking Homebrew PSP 3.60 M33 Question

Hello everyone,
I'm thinking about getting a PSP and of course putting the latest custom firmware on it but i'm wondering if it'll be worth it to get a PSP Slim because it sounds like hardly any homebrew can run on it.
BTW is this a good deal?(i don't have access to a Pandoras Battery or CFW PSP Phat unless somebody would lend me theres ?)

if you don't have acess to a pantora battery you won't be able to do anything homebrew related on the psp slim.
