I made a small open-source desktop app, PS5 Game Packer, for people who build .ffpfsc containers for ShadowMountPlus. When I started using MkPFS I ran into two things that take most of the time, and the app removes both:
- No extraction. Point it at the RAR or ZIP (multi-volume and password-protected too) and it reads the archive directly. No second copy of the game on disk and no waiting for it.
- No manual merging. If a folder holds the base game, an update, a backport and DLC, it detects them, proposes the layer order (base at the bottom, DLC on top) and builds one container from the merged view without copying anything. You can reorder or untick layers.
Windows 10/11: a self-contained zip, unzip and run (Python, MkPFS and UnRAR inside). Linux: clone and run install.sh. English and Spanish. GPL-3.0, step-by-step manual with screenshots in the repository.
The engine changes (reading archives, merging layers) are proposed to MkPFS as pull requests, so with luck they will end up upstream.

It is meant for backups of games you own, on your own console. Bug reports and feedback are welcome in the issues.
