Is there a way to get the video player to work on a 5.05 machine? It tells me to download it, but I guess the eshop doesn't work on 5.05?

My understanding is you would have had to activate it when 5.05 was still current.

Cant someone just dump it, from an machine that already activated the media player on 5.05?

I have the app and it works but no idea how to dump it. The dumper payload doesn't respond when I open it

They blocked that long before the exploit came out. However accessing isn't impossible.... But it would require someone with a kernel exploit for the current firmware to release the passphrase... It's not likely to ever happen

Even then it may not work... Many of the apps require a PSN activation. I think someone's dumped and uploaded it already to certain sources but I cant confirm
