Hacking PS4 SLIM help please?

Hi,

I just bought a PS4 SLIM (500gb) from a friend for 80€, i was waiting for ps5 relase, but for that price i bought it tho.
But i did not know that the FMW was 6.51

Anyway, i cannot downgrade and that i know, but what if i change the hard drive? upgrade it to 1T and then install a 5.05 FMW would that work?
Or will it automatically ask for the latest update?

Also,
if i have to format the ext. hard drive to ps4 to use it, how can i tranfer games, or even the PUP file from pc?
Help me please ://

The answer is no, no and no. There's no way to downgrade ps4 on higher firmware to lower ones at the moment

Your only chance is to wait for 6.51 kexploit if there is one, lol.

It won't ask for the latest unless you were on the latest, it will ask for atleast the same firmware it was on though.

Firmware is on the nand chip on the board and not on the hard drive

You've heard you can't downgrade.

If you could just swap the hard drive and then downgrade, you would have heard that.

Don't know if you can still revert back to previous version like before on 6.x

Put a new HDD in and see what version its asking for

I'll just have to wait a few years for the 6.51 k.exploit then.

And what about the external hdd? from store it came NTFS, (ps4 would not read it) so i formated to FAT32, so i could transfer files to ps4, then i connected to ps4, and i had to format it again on ps4 losing everything!

i'm a noob on the ps4. maybe ftp the files? but ftp have size limit right?

and yes, i tried google it, disk manegement did not work :/ Toshiba 1T

What is your goal exactly?

ok, let me explain better:
i bought the ext.drive for the ps4, and i formated it to fat32 because ps4 would not read it..

so, on the pc i moved all files to the ext.drive and when i connected to the ps4 it requests a new format to be used as a 'expanded storage'
so it deletes everything.

and then, my pc wont read it, because its formated to ps4 system files.
so i cant transfer anything??

That's supposed to be like that - As designed

What your trying to do requires a jailbreak 1st

All you can currently do is use it as extended storage on ps4 or whatever options it gives you for USB drives

I jailbreaked the ps3 so easy, i thought the ps4 would the same hehe
I was starting to think that i was doing something wrong.

Ps4 is easier to jailbreak

But

5.07 or under only for now

6.x jailbreak should eventually drop as its been a while

extended storage and regular file storage r different ur pc cant read extended but it can read if u formatted in exfat or fat32 so if u have it on ur pc put files on it than plug into ps4 and format for extended storage it will reformat and delete everything and only be used as if it were just an extension of the internal and u can install games or any pkg so extended to install games or exfat for like movies music pics or pkg to install this can be swaped with pc and ps4
