Hi i want to do some cooling mod like this:


but i was wondering - maybe it is better to put the new fan directly above the heatsink?
Yhere are 3 options:
1) like in the movie above the hole from orginal fan

2)directly above the heatsink

3) two holes, two fans


What do you think is the best?

meehhh .. just reaise there is a power supply above more the a half of heatsink. i will move option 1 closer to heatsink (back of the console) as far as possible

IT will help but not much
The best is to replace thermal paste or buy the 7115b model which don't trigger the fan to go full 100% like the 7106b
7105/06 has two metal places at the bottom. I tried removing to see if it would help fan from going too loud but it didn't
it looks in the 7115/16 version they replaced some component to decrease fan noise

No1 option helps decrease 3~5 degrees Celsius in my experience using a silent 12mm fan on top of the fan (wind going inside)
