Hardware PS4 beeping while backing up

I'm trying to backup my old PS4 and in the middle of it, it starts beeping and then it resets. What does this mean? Is it failing?

But seriously, could it be your external hard drive beeping? Maybe something is wrong with it.

Nop, it's the console, same beeps as when you turn it on or eject a disc. It beeps three times, stops for a few seconds, and beeps three times again, until it eventually turns off.
